My Service Provider Run Away. What do I do?

Posted by tehsinjan, 08-20-2005, 04:13 AM
I was a reseller of a company. His web site and services are down since 7 days. I have paid for one year. 1. How to recover my money? 2. How to warn others about him? 3. How to choose Reseller Hosting Service Provider? I will be thankfull for your guidence.

First, why wouldn't you mention the company's name? If they are really gone, i would go to your credit card company right away and submit a dispute on the charges from the hosting company.

1. How to recover my money? I am sorry but if he is really gone there is not much chance of getting your money back. 2. How to warn others about him? Post on fourms give the company name. 3. How to choose Reseller Hosting Service Provider? Ask for recomedations do a search on google and here on them. Try to choose one with realistic pricing model that can sustain long term and never pay yearly only monthly.

It's up for me, maybe a big block of particular ips? As for your original questions: 1. How to recover my money? Try asking for a refund of unused hosting, if that fails you can complain to Paypal (if it's under 30 days) or file a chargeback (if you paid by credit card) but before you do either give the host a chance to make good on a refund per their Terms of Service, chargebacks are bad business, use as a last resort. 2. How to warn others about him? You just did. 3. How to choose Reseller Hosting Service Provider? Research is the only way, search google, search here, see if people are complaining about bad service, see if people are giving praises, whois the domain of the provider you are considering, how old are they? Young isn't always bad, every business was new at some time. But young + complaints = bad.

I can access the web site now. It took me seven days to open their web site and my WHM. I received no reply from sales, admin or support. Helpdesk is useless, you cant open a ticket.

I agree with Incognito here , the case seems to be solved. Even if it is not then nocprice should personally make ammendments by mailing to the customer

I transfered all my important sites somewhere reliable and available on the net I use uppanel.com to monitore ns1.39y.net and ns2.39y.net. I received 37 alerts of downtime on ns2.39y.net only yesterday. Go to uppanel.com sign up and see for your self. ABOUT REFUND: (to maxinon) 1. First of all I am interested in services. If you can streamline it, OK. I can spend the remaining time with you. If NO, then accept your mistakes and refund 100% on your own cost 2. Secondly I know you will deduct for the time already lapsed, and the for the bank charges and then postal charges. I am 100% sure I will receive peanuts only. If you can refund 100% of the amount to me on your own cost, then I can consider maxinon's offer. Otherwise keep the money its only worth a few dollers. The real thing is the style of business which I will be warning every one about. Last edited by tehsinjan; 01-06-2006 at 07:08 AM. Reason: wrote 2005 instead of 2006 in subject line

you seem to be upset about downtime. looking in your support ticket i see that you were advised the following: I sugest you create a free tracking account at a working uptime-tracker where everyone here will agree on the reports In the meantime i would like our readers to view our REAL uptime statistics from host-tracker : Please click the button at http://www.nocprice.com/company.htm Hoping to reach an understanding very soon
