OpenVPN Config on Virtuozzo VPS

I have tried the past few hours to get OpenVPN to work on my Centos 4.9 on a Virtuozzo VPS.
I request your advice to get this up and running on a Virtuozzo VPS
1. What happens when you execute cat /dev/net/tun?
2. What is the best way to test that the provider has done their part correctly?
3. What should the OpenVpn server.conf file look like?
Here are some of my actions and results so far...
My provider has assured me that the tun/tap device is enabled for my VPS container.
The OpenVPN loopback client server tests all pass.
When I try to configure a OpenVPN server with
I get the messages
I have read posts saying that I should be able to execute
and receive
but I get
What do you get?
Also, I followed the OpenVPN How To doc and configured the server.conf starting from the provided sample.
What should a server.conf look like for a Virtuozzo VPS?

ask them to recheck the tun/tap module

What is the best way to prove that they need to fix something? They keep claiming it is me and my OpenVPN config.

my assumption is that the tun/tap device does not have the proper permission and they might have skipped the last step in

OpenVPN don't work fine on OpenVZ and Virtuozzo.
Better you choose KVM or Xen.

OpenVPN works fine in OpenVZ!
