My Letter to IPOWER/IPOWEWEB ======================= Hi, I am inquiring about your resellership program. I am initially chatting to Cassandra M. who do not respond after I ask the question, so I disconnect. I repeat the procedure and this time, I'm chatting with George L. who also do not respond immediately but after he respond he ask me to call and he disconnect. See chat session below. Is this how you people handle your potential customer? What more do you think I can expect if I'm your client already? Much worse support? Much more incompentent support? Much more rude support? You people are definitely in trouble with me all the hosting reviews. Your support are very rude and should not be working but instead stay on the street are work as BUM. Your people are obviously lazy. This is my first impression to your company and this will surely last. ===================================================== CHAT SESSION ===================================================== George L.:Hi, my name is George L.. iPowerWeb has a bad reputation around here for customer support. Before selecting your next host, try doing a quick search here and see what their previous/current customers have to say about them.

There's no proof of racism there. There's just a racism interpretation from that reviewer. QUite a difference if you ask me. However, the response you received during chat was definitely inappropriate.

But these people are still impolite and should not stay in this business, if this is how they reply to our queries. tsk...tsk...tsk...Poor service

I wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that the chat rep disconnected on purpose, nor would I jump to the conclusion that they're racist based on someone's review. Live chat applications are notorious for disconnecting or acting in bizarre ways. The fact that the first rep didn't even post any text before disconnecting should say something, as I would expect you to have received the same from the first as you did from the second if they just wanted to throw a phone number at you.

Annette, So what are you trying to imply they provide good service? Without even providing a simply reply are answer to my simple question. Or maybe the people assign to this chat support are not capable of answering my question. If that is the case I don't think should be on their position. am I correct. Please don't just quote the racism issue. Please read the message before you reply and put yourself in my shoes. Got it?

Don't be rude. Maybe the chat window accidentally closed? Maybe you simply made this whole post up? You have no evidence or anything. If you don't like them, don't go with them but I'm not particular they would be a bad choice.

Agree. No proof of racism there. George L. has provided you a telephone number + extension (most likely his personal extension). He seemed to want to speak to you directly, I do not see a reason for calling him rude. And the chat may have been closed by accident as well.

Maybe the chat session was disconnected by accident, it happens.

I have no position on their service one way or the other and implied nothing about it. I am suggesting that you consider the possibility that another reason for the disconnects exists beyond the conclusion to which you immediately jumped. If you think their service is bad, although you have not tried it and are basing that solely on the chats and no other method of contact, such as phone or email, and you believe them to be racist based solely on the opinion of a single individual, then you would do well to look elsewhere for your hosting needs.

You guys do have a point. Live chat is rather known for its quirks. However, if you ask a question, are given a phone number instead of a proper answer that starts with a word or two, followed by a disconnect, how would you rate the conversation? Even without the disconnect issue, the tech should not have started with just pasting that number. Maybe you feel that was OK, but for me it would communication under my normal expectations. Is that the way you would like one of your techs to communicate with your potential customers? I doubt it. EDIT: Sure, we can't conclude that the host is bad based on this alone, but we definitely can't be overjoyed with the initial contact.
