| hi all
is here any body to help how can i install some things:
mod_evasive
mod_clamav
and how can i protect server from shells such as c99 and other things?
last day , one body can byepass disable functions and safe mod easly in 5 min

That user/hacker, used symlink method to access your root, even with disabled function he can easily change them

But i know one thing that this will stop someone from accessing your root with symlinks
I am not forcing anyone from using this tutorial, i dont benefit from it.. Anyway sorry for not mention it.

No where in his post does it relate to symlinks being the cause.
However this is a better way to prevent the symlink issue: http://forums.cpanel.net/f185/how-pr...tml#post996441
It does not require your users to modify their htaccess to prevent internal server errors.
In regards to people being able to disable 'disabled_functions'. Use suphp and enable the feature in easyapache that prevents people from using their own php.ini files.

| I'd recommend hiring someone to manage your server for you. It will be better for you and your clients, if you have any.

| mod_evasive is largely useless these days, it won't provide any protection and is more likely to be a nuisance.
