That error shows of mysql connection being down. Have you contacted resellerzoom about this constant error? It seems that mysql is overloaded on that machine. Best is to contact resellerzoom and ask for a resolution and give maybe 3-5 days time to see if they have the capabilities to resolve the issue.

What was their reply in this regard? What type of forum are you using? Is it VB, phpbb, etc..? There are some arabic forums that basically eat up unnecessary queries so that just simply bad programming. But in this case its a sever wide thing.

What are your other requirements?

Hi, There is really no strengths or weaknesses in mysql rather how well its configured and monitor. I suggest contacting resellerzoom to monitor the mysql queries so they know what is going on and act before it. I am sure you can get a resolution once you let upper management know of issue. So I would ask the senior tech to take a look this will let the company know of the issues.

I really think you should just talk to your webhost about it more, and be honest with them about how you're thinking about switching.

What type of server are you on? MySQL can get pretty resource-intense really fast, so you'll need a host that's really putting a lot into their hardware and/or resort to colocating yourself.

first thing - if you decide to stay in a shared hosting environment - you may want to find a host with a clustered environment, where DB is not on the localhost - this will greatly improve performance and reliability. After that - I am not particular a 200 mb mysql db backending a vb forum is still suitable for a shared hosting environment - and if it is, it is borderline. Considering your growth and the current size of your db, I would look for avenues to raise funds from your site so that you can start looking at a dedicated or high end vds solution - because although you could get away with a shared environment right now if it was clustered and undersold - depending on your growth pattern, it may not last you too long...

Looks like you ignored all the suggestions of not using a shared web hosting company. Your forums need a VPS, check out www.powervps.com

If you're causing problems for ResellerZoom's MySQL server, perhaps you should look into a VPS or dedicated server solution.
