Looking for best reseller oppotunity...
Posted by Ihatex86, 11-17-2006, 12:35 PM |
I'm no DC admin, however I have lots of experiance with design and marketing. I am currently setup for reselling through Host Gator, but they don't really provide any support. My main focus is marketing, establishing the lead, converting the lead to a sale. All support aspects are beyond my scope.
So I'm looking for a new provider who provides direct and great (faniatical) support for their clients. Good migration support ( I want to take my clients with me if they're not being achieving a level of support that I deem adiquate).
Any suggestions? Comments?
Currently setup www.webhostingstore.net Lemme know folks!

Here are two that I would highly recommend thus far from experience.
1) HostNine.com
2) ResellerZoom.com
Both have excellent support in my opinion.
Thanks,
Jerett

ResellersPanel has an "unconventional" reseller program that you may wish to check into as well.

Don't you considered to signup on an affiliate program?

ResellersPanel has both a private-label, non-affiliate (though some folks dispute that - such as particular moderators here) reseller program where they provide support, as well as a traditional cPanel reseller program.

when did they start this? All I have ever seen is the affiliate program where they give you your own white label site. They do all the work, you get the commisions.

If the support is crappy, then they are not a good host after all.

It has changed quite a lot since you have seen it then. Resellers are now able to provide their own support, billing, etc (or ResellersPanel can provide this at no additional charge)....all advents of the past year, through the introduction of an API system, a ticket console, and more. At one time, maybe it did look like an affiliate program, but not so anymore.

Have you been doing this for awhile or brand new to the hosting end of it?
The reason I ask is it sounds more like you would prefer just being an affiliate but your site looks like its geared for hosting?
The norm for a reseller is you support your clients while your upstream supports you. Now there are plenty of 3rd party support companies also.
You might consider though (if you are new and just starting out) gradually working your way through some things. Some support issues are so very general such as basic email or ftp questions, etc.
You should do fine with the right upstream, (which is the whole *key* when its all said and done)

Hi
I recommend taking a look in the hosting offers forum, also take a look around some hosts and send some test support tickets to see how good and speed of the response to the tickets.
