onewebhosting.com nightmare out of the gate

Yesterday after looking for a month I decided to open a reseller account with these guys. After I signed up they called me within 10 minutes to answer any questions I might have.(nice) They said my account would be set up within two hours, well 7 hours later I called them and they finally set it up. No Big deal After loging into my reseler control panel (Plesk) I noticed that My disk space was about a third of what I bought/ and the bandwith was 100 gigs, should have been 50, I sent them a support ticket and they replied saying it would be resolved in 5 minutes.. Two hours later it waqs fixed but I still have the extra bandwith Then when I tried to add a domain i could not, because they never set my permissions, so the control panel is worthless. Now 20 hours later, no responce to support tickets, no return calls, nothing. I guess they are closed on weekends. Well at least i tried Lou

Sounds like a poor experience so far. I doubt they are closed on the weekends (support), otherwise it is certainly time to move. I think you need to give them a bit more than two days to evaluate their service however.

I agree with giving them until Monday, I'm sure they will take care of these issues, but then again it's probably not just me having stupid issues with these guy's. The only concern here is if this is the way it is at the start then what will the future bring?

You may want to check also what's their response on weekends, what may happen if you have a critical support request on friday night? you'll need to wait until monday too?

louramada, I would go ahead and move out. You do not need a host that's closed on the weekend, especially when you're trying to run a reseller operation.

If I received service like that, I certainly wouldn't stay around. Having information put in improperly and then having to wait longer than told, isn't a good way to go, however their TOS probably has something to justify it.

I must agree with all of your feedback, Lets see what Monday brings. I'm not really mad as much as i am disapointed with this host. I will continue to shop around, Need unix atleast 50 gigs. Any advise to a alternative host would be greatly appreciated thanks Lou

You may want to open a new thread for host suggestions.

Never heard of a host that's closed on weekends :| But if I were you, I'd wait and see what Monday holds and find out what went wrong since you didn't get any support over the weekends.

Good news I sent them another support ticket today, number 6 , said they did not receive the other 5,(sent from two different locations and three different email address's and computers. And they responded everything is working as it should now and I am very pleased I will let you all know how it goes in a couple of months I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Thanks to all that responded to my threads. Thanks Lou

for a moment i thought i was having some issues here. but then again, after a close look, it was a domain name similarity. *phew*
