First of all I'm new to reselling webhosting. I'm also a web designer who is looking for some extra money/ I recently set up a reselling account with linksky. Now the confusion comes in when i have to deal with billing. Right now I'm paying for a whm? account. With this account i can deal with all resold accounts. What i don't understand is how i make money from the resold accounts. I 'll be paying the smae amount for a resold account as i do from a regular account. Then what would be best way to handle billing transactions from clients who want a resold accounts. Does anyone know of any online guides or anything to figure this all out. Thanks

Is your reseller host offering you any sort of billing software? (modernbill, etc...)

With WHM, the most common reselling method is a flat fee, and you get a set amount of resources to sell.
Now, in order to collect payment, you would normally need a billing system (unless you feel like doing it manually...). You would then setup a Paypal account, a merchant account, or something at other 3pp's (e-gold, moneybookers, 2Checkout and so on).
I would take a look at the e-commerce forum, along with the "running a webhosting company" forum.

There are plenty of guides on WHT on how to accept payments over the web. Check out the e-commerce or running a web hosting business tutorial forum sections.

Your reseller should offer any guides you need to get situated or to answer any questions you have, You can also use several types of billing software for your purpose to help automate things/take orders. Does your host have PHPcoin or any others?
