csf/ldf alerts
Posted by oozypal, 05-07-2012, 04:07 PM |
Hello
I am new to csf and I have been receiving alerts which I am not sure if they are bad or good? Can they be ignored or not?
For example, is the following alert bad or it cab be ignored? If it can be ignored, how to ignore it?
Thx

You can edit the settings/alerts under /etc/csf/csf.conf (default install location)
Also, look at this:

spamd is usually safe and I recommend you use SolidShellSecurity's advice and add this to your process ignore file.
Sometimes a dodgy process can masquerade as something else (e.g. spamd child) but the chances are that this is OK.

I've had a few of these and they are helpful. I've disabled them just as recommended above.
