Posted by Cbchung, 08-15-2012, 06:15 AM Hi, I plan to run XEN VT for windows VPS. Any expert on this can let me know how can I run OS on SSD, and storage on the rest Sata HDD? I thought on XEN, all sliced should be om LVM? ps: someone who use cloudstack told me able to do that, but I am using solusvm.
Posted by mike86, 08-23-2012, 10:10 AM You will need to edit your .cfg files for your virtual servers to add an extra disk for your ssd LVM, and make that the root partition. Then add the second sata LVM as another disk. This will be awkward in SolusVM because you will have to make an action hook to readd this to your config file every time because when you save the VPS in solus, it rewrites the config file. Take a look at this page to see how to use action hooks: http://wiki.solusvm.com/index.php/Action_Hooks It will probably not be worth the hassle though.
