My reseller account uses cpanel and WHM. I have just downloaded a hosting template from templatemonster. Any idea how to set it up to allow customers to signup through the site?

You can use a whois script together with a form mailer script to accept orders. You can find them free on the web.

Buy an ordering package, like WHMCS, WHMAP, Modernbill, ClientExec etc, and integrate it into your template.

I agree, this would be the easiest way to do it. I would recommend WHMCS. It is fantastic.

othellotech is right. Witha little bit of luck, your hosting provider actually offers one for free with your reseller hosting package. Many do.

Thanks for your comments guys, my client does offer clientexec free of charge. How difficult would it be to set it up. I assume I would have to edit the template code.

Your client offers ClientExec free of charge? How is this?

I'm sorry, I should have said my host offers free clienexec.

It's not hard but it will not be instant if you want to do it correctly. WHMComplete Solution is a lot easier to setup than ClientExec.

I agree. Whmcs is so easy to set up and Matt is on top of any questions you may have about it. I would recommend this also.

WHMCS is easier to setup and is more feature rich, such as the ability to allow the customer to change the name servers for a domain (one of the main reasons I changed), plus much more.
Clientexec is a very good billing program, but it just did not have the features that I needed.

CE is a great tool also, been using it for a long time now, no problems yet.

I think I will try whmcs. My host offers it for free with my reseller package. They also offer clientexec, but from the replies whmcs would be easier to setup.

As well as being easier to setup. In my opinion it is much better. It includes features that clientexec does not such as its Domain Management.
If you have any questions about setting it up, just ask.

Or, get a professional to build it for you. Part of starting a business is having employees do that kind of stuff for you while you multi task on other things

Correct, but most people who start a business do not have the money to start hiring mass amounts of staff, that are not needed until the business grows.
If you have a look at Hostgator, Hostnine and many more, they have not got professionals in for there billing software, they all run Modernbill. So why would a small hosting company need to pay a professional for something that is already available?
