Periodically this evening I have been unable to access the Gmail web servers.

Anyone else?

Google have been having problems with GMail, but it seems to be a case of accidentally emptying accounts rather than stopping you from being able to connect altogether: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12607364

downforeveryoneorjustme.com is one of the most unreliable services on the web. I've had several customers use it before and complained their site is down when it wasnt (corporate firewalls were usually the problem). Matter of fact, it still says mail.google.com is down when it's working for me right now.

Actually, I don't think Gmail was ever actually "down".
But they did lose quite a bit of clients emails.

Hmm.. they gurantee 100% uptime now too for businesses.. 100% of the service being up, but unable to be used? lol
