Need hosting for 100 or so domains
Posted by HostExchange, 11-22-2007, 07:15 AM |
Hi,
We have a client who would like to move 10 domains to a new web-host and then progress onto consolidating approximately a further 100 domains onto this package.
All of these sites are business related and are clients of my client.
It is required that the package ideally be reseller based as so as it is easy to administer. We need over the phone support that is well staffed and is ideally based in England. The company holding this account must be established and experienced as my client cannot afford to experience any issues with this service.
The initial budget is £250 per year but this is flexible and is purely a base line.
Can anyone make any recommendations?
Thanks

As rule reseller packages allow you to have many domains. Research reseller offers section here. I think that your budget good enough to get deal.
Good luck.

Your budget sounds okay, are you just looking at UK hosts?

Yeah, So yuo are not looking at US hosts? If most of his clients are located in UK, that would be a good option, Or think about US hosts too as that will give you more options.
Start with the offer section. How much disk space and bandwidth are you looking for? Phone support is always good, but there are many hosts with a very good support level through helpdesk.

I think you should try HostGator - they support unlimited domain addons. Means you can add as many addon-domains to your primary account as you want. The reseller packages start from only $24 per month. I searched a lot and each other hosting had many bad reviews - the only good one was HostGator.
Good luck!

HG's a good host, but not the only one, by any means. It may be harder to find decent hosting in their price bracket, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of options otherwise.

You can look at Hostdime or Surpasshosting offers(they are our hosting providers), too.
