Linux/Chapro.A in Apache

I would like to bring your attention to Linux/Chapro.A discovered by ESET. As I found, it is malicious Apache module, but I did not find any information how it is installed into Apache and how to scan your Linux webserver for this module? Maybe you will have more luck to find more news about it...

ESET's Blog site contains the original post by Pierre-Marc Bureau and also a later clarification by David Harley. From what I've read, there's been a lot of speculation on how the malicious content ended up on the module in the first place but no concrete answers as of yet. ESET Canada's Sébastien Duquette does warn that "...users should keep an eye on the modules they have loaded in Apache and investigate modules they don’t recognize."
