How can I restore a cpanel backup? I'm on a reseller plan

You will most likely not be able to do this. Contact your web host and have them do it for you instead.

When you login into cpanel under the files section, there should be a backup icon or backup wizard icon. Click one of those and then click download backup. Hope that helps

I want to restore a backup not to create a new one

I want to restore a backup not to create a new one I recommend uploading your cPanel backup to the server. Then, open a support ticket with your host, asking them to run the cPanel restorepkg script on your backup file.

The database is ~1Mb. Is it normal from the host to ask a price for such restore?

The database is ~1Mb. Is it normal from the host to ask a price for such restore? In my opinion, it is not normal for them to charge you for this service.

You can't restore the database yourself? The host doesn't allow remote access to MySQL?

What sort of database is it, a full cPanel account backup or a MySql database backup? If it is a full cPanel account backup, you will need your host to restore it for you (I'd be surprised if they charge you for this). If it is a MySql database backup, you should be able to restore it yourself either in cPanel or in phpmyadmin

Most hosts will restore a backup free of charge. If you contact them I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you.

Restore from backups is something that most webhosts will do free of charge.
