Hard Disk Quota
Posted by cehau37, 07-11-2013, 11:01 PM |
Hi,
We have tried to enable hard disk quota on our Centos 6 server but it keeps giving us the error message below when doing quotacheck.
quotacheck: Scanning /dev/sda6 [/var] quotacheck: lstat Cannot stat `/var/named/chroot/dev/urandom': Permission denied
Guess you'd better run fsck first !
exiting...
Did anyone here ever encounter this issue? Please help.

What were the exact commands you used to enable quotas? Also, are you on a VPS by any chance?

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your response. We run the command below.
[root@xxx ~]# quotacheck -uma
quotacheck: lstat Cannot stat `/var/named/chroot/dev/urandom': Permission denied
Guess you'd better run fsck first !
exiting...
