Posted by berwick53, 08-16-2009, 07:17 PM
Hello, please could somebody help me find or know a suitable reseller hosting solution for $70 per month or below. i would like it to be 100% Brandable, be able to sell domains and SSL, above all i would like it to be nice and fast with Cpanel. Also i would like it to include some billing software Thanks Sam

You have a very good budget for a reseller, with that price you can get yourself a nice high end VPS. You may also need a separate domain reseller, and many who offer billing software with their packages increase the price of their resellers to accommodate the license price, so you can always just get it extra at no loss. Almost every reseller host out there will let you brand your reseller 100%.

Incredible even for me that I'm going to say this, but if this is for a new hosting company, you might want to scale the budget down a bit. No sense in paying for space you're not going to use anytime soon. Do use the generous budget by focusing on quality. The best advice I could give you is to just read as many threads as you can from this very forum section. You should be able to make yourself a proper list of hosts with decent reputations that fit your requirements. Do make sure that you go with a well experienced, time tested provider. Newcomers may sound great at first and even receive great praise, but a good start is not always a sign of things to come. IMHO, nothing can replace your own efforts in making the right choice.

I agree with Dan. Bring down that number a bit. You should be able to start up at around $20/mo or less. Use the other money for marketing and incidentals

Wow, putting down the budget.... @OP - What is your estimated space and bandwidth use, That would be very helpful in helping us find something for you.

most resellers would do their best to accommodate your branding needs but going for a VPS will give you even more control and power to brand whatever way you like. and it seems like you have the budget for it - start small and upgrade as time goes by.

Probably you can get a reseller plan for you needs for less than half the money. Domains and ssl certificates have nothing to do with the hosting company most of the time. By using a billing system as WHMCS, you can get nice deals as domain reseller. SSL certificates are affordable to get, starting from $20/year, from 3rd party - affiliates. As a reseller, you get WHM, so you can brand you cPanel as you like. Also you can make your own nameservers with you domain registrar. So branding is an easy task. What is your needs in space and bandwidth? What is yours or your customers location?

I would recommend a managed VPS with cPanel and WHMCS fo billing. There are many offers in the forum that would suit your needs.

What is your preference of location? Are you experienced in managing a server, if not look into managed services. Your budget will be perfect for a VPS to start off selling your services. With a VPS, you will have much more control over what you can do compared to reseller hosting. For a billing system, lots of people would recommend WHMCS, including me.

Scaling as you like is a nice feature, but that VPS is not fully managed. Are you a system administrator? If not, you should look for managed VPS, or stick to reseller.

Wow, nice budget! I agree with those who have mentioned scaling down that amount until revenue starts flowing. With everything you need, you could be up and running for $30 or $40 per month (maximum)with a reputable reseller. At this point, starting out, a VPS isn't necessary but is something to keep in mind for the future. As for recommendations, check out Innohosting, they are one of the more reputable providers that you will find around here and offer a nearly complete package for getting a solid running start. Good luck Dave

I recommend Hostdime as a reliable reseller hosting provider.

You need to get a reseller that prices around $20 with a billing system included and a free domain reseller. Get a reseller or a managed VPS until you feel comfortable managing your own server.

It will be pretty easy to find a hosting company that provides reseller hosting with a free enom account, billing software and RVSkin so you can brand cPanel to your liking.

i think you should try hostpolice.com .........just $6 per month... all unlimited..!

Posted by KMyers, 08-22-2009, 11:38 PM
Umm. I would stay away from them... $45.00 per year Unlimited Alpha Accounts are always scams. I also would stay away from Unlimited Reseller plans in general.

Do you have an account with them?

You're not allowed to recommend the parent company for which you are a reseller

Yes, resellers recommending their host is fine but in this case Alpha Master Resellers from $45/yr - run and don't look back. They might chase too because they are the Host Police.

You need to have Reseller Hosting package with domain reseller account by which you can sell domains, SSL Certificates also. After getting Reseller(WHM), you can brand your cpanles easily. As far as billing system is concern you may try either WHMCS or if you have low budget you can try Client Exec.
