cPanel domain access logs missing or..?
Posted by lifewithcause, 08-18-2013, 02:18 PM |
Hi,
While investigating a hacking incident when I look inside "/usr/local/apache/domlogs" I see the domain logs on root and a //usr/local/apache/domlogs/domain.com folder but logs or of Aug 18, 2013 only. I am looking to find Aug 15 logs. Any clue where it should be? or how to configure cPanel to keep the full logs as it should.
Thanks for any tips.

By default "Delete each domains access logs after stats run" is turned on in "Tweak settings".. If you do not want to delete it, you can turn off this feature. Please note that if you have high traffic websites, it may eat up your disk space. If you wish to archive logs for certain domain, I suggest you to select option archive old logs from cPanel.

By default, the raw access logs are removed once they have been parsed during the stats run.
You can enable archiving of the raw logs on a per account basis via cPanel -> Raw Access Logs. Or, you could disable deleting of the domlogs from Tweak Settings, however, disabling the tweak setting may cause /usr to fill up rather quickly on a busy server.
