Finding a hosting for reseller
Posted by mivipin, 09-08-2009, 02:04 PM |
Hello all, i am godaddy user since last 3 year. i use to sell the hosting space to clients on godaddy server. now my clients ask control panel for email creations, domain management etc. I like the email (web mail), and other features of godaddy, but godaddy does not provide control panel.
I have find the "hostrightnow.com". they provide the reseller account with whm and cpanel for $42.
I want to keep hosting server as godaddy and email server as hostrightnow. How can i do that and any other suggestion ?

Well, how much disk space and bandwidth do you need? Are you looking for any control panel in certain?

42 dollars is pretty expensive for just a Reseller Account, with $42 you can get your own VPS with cPanel. I suggest you do some reseach first, before investing that much money on a reseller account.

It's $42 per year so you're not going to get a VPS with that.
To host your website on one server and email on another you will just need to change the MX records on the domains to point to your email server.

Yes you could do that if you wanted, just change the mx records on your domain names to point to the new server.
Then just make sure to create the email accounts on the new server and you should be all set.

Too troublesome? Just changing MX records.
The OP asked for a way to use the two hosts..... It is actually quite sensible if you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket..
just my two cents...
