Bind: Requires much larger memory MyDNS: - Does not provide a caching nameserver. Will only serve zones. (requires external nameservers in resolv.conf) - Database queries may increase response time. - Does not support DNSSEC. Also, I could see that MyDNS development is very slow.

You should really look at PowerDNS. It supports everything that MyDNS does, and only takes an extra 5 minutes to setup/configure. MyDNS is basically dead. If you really have to stick with it, use MyDNS-ng. There's a number of bugs, of varying severity, in the original MyDNS that have gone unpatched for nearly a decade now. And, in my opinion, MyDNS-ng isn't much better.
