Is there any difference between a linux reslling hosting and windows reselling hosting?
Is there any advantages and disadvantages?
Which one would you prefer linux or Windows?
Thank You in advance,

Linux, as you then get to use cPanel/WHM.
Both cPanel/WHM are very easy to use.

This will depend first of the type of clients you are targeting. Linux is more used as a platform for hosting sites so having a Linux reseller plan will enable you to serve a larger pool of customers. Margins are higher though I assume in Windows hosting.

As sinohosting stated there are "probably" more people using Linux for hosting than Windows. There are also a lot more Linux hosts out there. It all depends on what platform the person looking for hosting needs and what scripting etcetera they are using within their site. You can also choose a host using H-Sphere which is a clustered control panel solution in most cases and will allow you to have a reseller account creating plans offering multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, Coldffusion etc).

It depends on what software applications you want to run. If I am going to be using any type of open source platform such as Joomla, Drupal or WordPress I would want to use Linux. If you are hosting .asp applications you would need Windows hosting.

It depends on the market you are targeting. I would think windows hosting will attract more developers while linux hosting will attract the general audience looking for a website presence.
Both has its advantages, doing Windows will bring you less competition, you can set higher costs, and you will have a more knowledgeable client base, which means less support load.
So it is good to offer both, but I would suggest only market your windows plans on developers community and forums where they discuss ASP.NET, Cold Fusion, MS SQL Server, and other windows server based web development platforms.

I'd bet many have no idea what they're using. It is mainly the providers that have embraced LAMP for various reasons, and customers went for "web hosting" without much interest in what the back-end was, until the passion for a particular control panel was born.
