cxs and ignore files.

Hi folks,
i have added some files to the cxs ignore list. so it did not deleted the files at the time of upload.
but , when check next day, those files were gone.
what could be the problem?

Hi,
Did you go through the logs? It will be more elaborative and definite to conclude having checked the logs only.

The log file will be defined in it configuration file. Most probably the log file will be in /var/log folder. Can you please check this log file.

The logs could be " /var/log/cxs.log " or if not, please check the CXS configuration file to determine the exact path and grep the file name in it..

Hi Srv24x7,
Thanks so much for your effort in solving my issue. actually the client had messed up it seems and given wrong information. they files were now remain intact and not deleting by cxs. when he first complained that the files are missing , i though cxs is what removed them during the daily scan. but this seems not the case. for last two days all files are remaining without any issues. so i think we can close this case.

I wouldn't have CXS delete files without being really careful.

actually cxs qurantain the files. when try to restore using whm cxs interface, it is not restoring. strange.
any way now things look normal after adding all the files to ignore list.
