30 minutes now. Panel, website and even http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/
What's going on?

Things on their end are loading pretty slowly for me, but here's their recent updates on the outage.

If you want a good laugh, read the comments to the outage posting on http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/ (when it loads.. looks like it's currently overloaded). You'll see a bunch of people claiming how they're losing huge sums of money because the sites are down and all the clients are complaining, etc.
I'm not sure what level of service they expect from a $7.95/month hosting company. Maybe there's an opportunity for higher-end hosting companies to benefit from this type of outage.
We actually use Dreamhost for some internal non-critical stuff like an internal company wiki. We'd never trust any of our real customer-facing and mission-critical data to them.
