Need recommendation on HK reseller hosting
Posted by chinapao, 08-05-2013, 09:35 PM |
Dear WHT,
I need some recommendation of HK cPanel reseller hosting. Is there any option.
I used to considering the Singapore hosting, however, some of my clients from China, the ping of Singapore sometimes goes up to 400ms.
BTW, when can I post on the advertising forum?

400ms is not normal if it is connecting from China to Singapore. Seems a bad network there.
Even using west coast location would give you better latency.

Congestion to China is common, only customer who pay a premium can get better connectivity to China
We do peer with china telecom in Singapore but they only open the route for their premium customer, not general broadband customer, if your user in china is using premium service from china telecom, they will get good latency and no congestion.

I found that sometimes the request from China goes to US and then Singapore, so the ping is as large as 400ms

What I means is, the same provider, they can provide standard service or premium service, customer want better china connection will need to pay a premium, china telecom, pccw, pacnet, all provide differentiated service, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea no difference, I can give you a server in hongkong but connectivity to china still 400ms because traffic route to US first, I can also give you a server in hongkong with 30ms but you need to pay a premium. So the question is, are you willing to pay a premium for good china connectivity, otherwise, regardless which provider you choose, someday down the road, you will see a 400ms latency.
