Any reseller hosts that allow Sass/Compass to be installed (or come pre-installed)?
Posted by bchalker, 01-14-2014, 09:33 AM I would use this for testing/dev environment, as well as client hosting. I'm currently with Innohosting (for years), but several issues causing me to migrate to another. Any reseller opinions from web designers/devs? Thanks
Posted by iClickAndHost, 01-14-2014, 10:59 AM Why not get a VPS, leave a portion of it to host client's web sites and a portion of it for your testing / development work ? There you can have Sass/Compass or anything else you need.
Posted by bchalker, 01-14-2014, 11:12 AM Thanks Kambone. I'm not a "server-guy" ...will VPS require me to be one? I'm used to the cPanel/WHM setup for accounts. Is VPS a similar workflow?
Posted by i7Grendel, 01-14-2014, 11:35 AM You can of course install cPanel on your VPS and get a fairly similar experience, but if you do not have any experience managing a server, it may be wise for you to get a Managed VPS. These are quite a bit more expensive than the unmanaged ones, but at least you've got professional people taking care of the technical side of the business and you get to enjoy a service very similar to reseller hosting.
