Hi, im developer have some website and few application php mysql to my client.. i want to start my own hosting company required +CloudLinux +Master Reseller +WHM/CPanel +WHMCS +Reseller Domain +Private NS My budget is tight around $30-40, i hope i can start with small amount of storage, because my current customer i host under some provider with shared hosting and vps.. so i want to make it in one place and start selling shared hosting....... i have a list that i like their service and website - Vexxhost - Joyent - Hostnine - Askforhost or i start to build own cloud server, but i didn't know much to setting initial setup for all of those requirement.. i look buyVM.net has very cheap price for shared, reseller, and vps.. can i count them? any experience with them? why their service can be so cheapest????????? It is a good idea to package hosting alongside your development services to your clients. If they have any issue, you will have direct access to their website and be able to diagnose it for them. Your budget is a reasonable one to work with since you mentioned "small amount of storage", although to be particular, how much disk space are you looking at ideally? Also, do you have any location preference? You may want to base the location on where majority of your clients are from.

I understand what you mean. It seems this is a case of the hosting provider moving you onto a different server without providing proper notifications beforehand and checking afterwards that all the websites are pointed to the new nameservers. This would definitely reflect poorly on you as you are your clients' direct contact. I agree that you should move your accounts a few at a time, to ensure that any problem that arises in the process wouldn't affect all your clients at once. It would be very stressful to have all your clients contacting you to ask why their websites were down if anything out of the norm happens during the transfer process. You should also raise these concerns to any of your prospective hosting provider and have them escalate it to a manager to overlook the entire transfer process to minimize downtime for you.

Avoid setting up on your own if you don't have knowledge of it. You have a decent budget, you should be able to get all under your budget. But do you have any certain requirement w.r.t space, location etc?

We own everything, that's why we can be cheap. We own the servers, the switches, our router, & our IP addresses. You won't be asked to ever change your IP unless you're wanting it changed for one reason or another. If you lookup your IP address in whois.sc or whois.arin.net you'll see that it's under "Frantech Solutions", which is us Francisco

Do you have experience managing that unmanaged server?

Requirements and budget look Ok to me. In your list I think Hostnine does not provide master reseller account!?

In that case I would stick with a reseller untill you can manage a VPS or at least get a managed VPS from a provider who will help you but then you've the required cost of the licenses since you want cPanel + CloudLinux which will bump the cost up another $30/Mo or so.
