Email in Plesk under 1and1

Hi all, please could somebody tell me what I have done wrong if I'm receiving all emails even from non existing email boxes? I have a domain name / dedicated server - Plesk in 1and1 I'm receiving sometimes more that 10.000 spams a day! From anythig@mydomainname.com !? Anything would help. Thanks a lot! PS: Please don't reply with "Ask your hosting provider or look in FAQ" ( Of course I did that, 1st, their support always says go to FAQ so their support is basically rubbish and 2nd the FAQ didn't answer the question I asked.)

Is the Name Server of your domain also with 1and1? As far as I can recall, there's no option to create SPF record from their control panel. If not, then create a strict SPF record for your domain - openspf.org It should be created where the DNS provider of your domain. Also, go to Mail Server Settings in Plesk and adjust the option for SPF - select reject mail for failed SPF or something.

Thanks a lot Spykee, It helped a lot, THANK YOU! However, I'm receiving this email over and over over: (100times in 50minutes!) The email is: failure notice Hi. This is the qmail-send program at 0191919293.onlinehome-server.info. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. : --- Below this line is a copy of the message. Seems that someone sends spam by your qmail-host. Is your SMTP anonymous relay disabled? Or if someone uses a local domain on your server - he can do it by a script. Check your domains for such possibility - by qmail logs for example.

Hi, It is really strange, I completely deleted the 0191919293.onlinehome-server.info domain name and I'm still receiving the email THnaks

its a cron notification you should be able to disable this somewhere in the cro section is says "email who?" just put in you account username. thats how it is on cpanel and from the looks of this its a cron job. Cron wget -O /dev/null "http://0191919293.onlinehome-server.info/task=cron " > /dev/null and every time it runs its sending you a email and its bouncing. someone said this looked like spam? no way is this spam its just a cron job running a lot of times and you are getting a ton of bouncing emails from it

Wow! Thank you all! You are my heroes! I made many changes regarding to all of your posts. Including changing the email in Cron - Schedule Task to existing email address so I'm not receiving those anymore! Also as mention by many of you I closed the Relaying and Switch on SPF spam protection! Thank you very much! Have a lovely rest of the weekend
