Review: AcuNett.com Fortified Server Setup
Posted by tangd, 11-24-2009, 05:57 AM I found out about acunett.com on this forum and used their "Fortified Server Setup" service on my new dedicated server. It is basically a one time setup for dedicated server. I was happy with their service so I promised them that I'd write a review on their service. Results Acunett's one time setup was the perfect service for migrating my website to a new server. I switched from Dreamhost PS from HiVelocity but I had troubles setting up my server and the website and it would frequently crash during peak hours. After their service, my servers CPU usage dropped to almost idle and doesn't crash anymore. This service is perfect for anyone who do not know how to setup and optimize their dedicated server. Ordering Process Ordering is easy but can be a little confusing. Just fill out a form then pay via PayPal. Afterward, you will need to go to their "Support Desk" web page and create a new ticket. I think they tell you to do this after you checkout but I probably missed it. I was expecting them to contact me but it didn't happen. I found out the next day on their website that I had to create a ticket. Everything got started within a day. Speed & Service Speed is good they finished setting up my server in a day or less. Once they were done, they sent me a detailed email listing everything they installed and what each one of those apps are supposed to do. Once everything was done, they asked if I needed help with anything else. I requested help with setting up some user permission and FTP and they gladly helped me with that. Recommend? I recommend this service for beginners who do not know how to setup their new dedicated servers. It is a one time fee and you don't have to spend the time learning how to optimize your server. There is a huge difference between an optimized and non-optimized server. If you switch to another server, you can get the same service done on your new server for a significantly discounted rate.
