Question On Reseller Hosting

Posted by Reginald, 05-09-2014, 01:07 AM
Hi guys, It's me again. I am thinking of getting a reseller hosting and after seeing replies from some 'top users' here, I have finally boiled down to: StableHostSurpass HostingInnoHostingPlus a few more Of course, allow me to add that I have moderate to low expertise in reseller account. First question - Surpass Hosting I been searching a lot and seems like only one topic started in 2014 with regards to it. Yes, I have chat with the CS and looking good. But of course, the lowest package is like above $20 a month with good allocation of bandwidth etc. A few more reviews were seen back in '12 and '11 which are bad but I am taking those with a pinch of salt. Any one currently using their reseller account in US? Are they okay? Totally understand that with budget say $100 to $200 yearly is low but just want to hear your shares on this Second question - General question I am very doubtful when I see some sites offering like unlimited domains + 500 - 1TB bandwidth that cost around $10-$15. Am I just being skeptical or...? I used to have many issues in the past with various hosting and sometime, it is hard to have those 'trust' back in them. Extra information: I don't mind working on a smaller account and upgrade to next level when needed. Just that I try to avoid changing from one host to another. Any thoughts on this? Sorry for the lengthy post!

For US based reseller, I would suggest you Give a try at hostwithlove, they are reliable, quick ticket replies, good uptime, caring staff, what more can you ask for . + They fit your budget, you can try checking In the offer section for any of their current offers.

You would be asked to upgrade when usage is high at particular level. Do not expect to host hundreds of domains on a $10-15 reseller account with no issue because most likely you share a server with other resellers who also host lots of domains in their reseller account.

Hey! Thanks for replying. Oh yes, totally understanding on upgrading. I am not thinking of overselling and totally depending on my clients. Just doubtful with those sites claiming unlimited etc. Haha By any chance you have experience with those reseller hosting?

Trust your instincts, an offer that sounds too good to be true generally is just that. Going with a provider that offers realistic/sustainable quotas will save you many headaches in the long run. Regarding your shortlist, I've had experience with both StableHost and InnoHosting and found the service/support offered by both to be dependable over time.

Hi Donn, Sorry not sure why I didn't see your reply earlier. Oh yes, talking to HWL and in fact, loving their style of customer service. Saw their offers too. Pretty impressive and I could chip in a little bit more for 'more'. Thanks for the heads up. Hi DWS2006. Oh yes you are right. Sometime over CS or live chat, everything seems to be great. Especially when you talk to sales is not entirely the same with support which I totally get it. Haha. Thanks for sharing your experience with both! *Currently deciding heavily on BigScoots and HostWithLove (still talking to them) and I believe I won't go any wrong with any of them. Just depending on price now. Haha!

Yes, i agree with you on unlimited concepts. Example - seeking unlimited space and bandwidth - that is a RED signal for me straight away! Also, offering freebies which are too good to be true is also need to look at. Ultimately, what i have personally seen is that there are lot of small player hosts which try to find such low cheap hosts and get into troubles. Migrating from one host to another may be a easy option that also limits your growth and client reputation. I have personally experienced with InnoHosting.. support is decent but we had to face lot of spam mails when we initially started. That was say many years back. I am not sure about how they have done now. I could recommend you HostDime.
