Your experience with KnownHost

We've been a very long time customer (10+ years) of ServInt and this past month I have decided to find a new home for our sites (price point is the reason).
Currently I am down to one possible provider, KnownHost, but would love to have feedback from other users. Also happy to hear if any other providers compare.

Other than a single recent customer service issue, KH was top notch during the time I dealt with them. No downtime in 10+ months, good response times to ticket requests (average about 5 minutes maybe? longest was never more than 20ish). Support staff, until that last incident, always quick, knowledgeable and efficient.
I moved back to Wired Tree last week, I had left them for price point reasons a while back and jumped ship to GoDaddy (biggest mistake I ever made)
Instead of going back to WT, I went with KnownHost because they had a package that met my needs at a better price, and had good reviews here, I'm back at WT because for the extra couple of bucks a month, I feel like I'm back home and confident I won't feel the need to pinch pennies again, because the service has always been stellar there.
You could do much worse than KH, but if you check the VPS offers, depending on what you need, WiredTree might be able to meet the price point you're looking for.

I actually made the switch from ServInt to KH a few years ago, and am happy that I did. KH servers have been stable and fast for me, and their customer service is usually top notch. Also for the past few years, KH Santa has provided free upgrades for existing clients.
I haven't used WiredTree, but I frequently see them listed as a top host by others, so that is another option you could look into.

I was with Servint years ago.....and they were good! I left because of their inflexible plans.
Knownhost do everything Servint do.....but they do it better! Plus their pricing is much more realistic.....along with flexible plans and upgrade options.
Don't think twice about it!

I have a server with Knownhost since last April. They have different data centers to choose from. We started with a Texas data center, and the first month was rocky and the server went down and data was lost. We then changed to a east coast data center. We have not had any issues since the move. I would recommend Knownhost depending on which data center you choose.

Thank you for your comments. I thought I was final on KH but after reading some fine print on billing, I am moving to WT on Wednesday.

You will love WiredTree. I have always had nothing but the best experience with them. Hosting done right.
