Most providers that are offering windows VPS for your price range are ones that I would stay away from. They will also not be anywhere near managed so it would be up to you to get things going (although some non-managed hosts do some of the heavy lifting for you). But at the end of the day unmanaged is unmanged.

Just took a look at Virmach and it looks interesting, but there are a ton of one star reviews on their site. I didn't see a Windows option for alphaVPS though.

Windows VPS comes with pre-installed Windows operating system either Server OS like (Windows Server 20008/2012) or Desktop OS (Windows 7/8/8.1/10). If you will use VPS only for web browsing, you really don't need support.Just install the web browser as you do in your local computer and you are good to go.

You won't find a desktop OS like Windows 7/8/10 on a legitimate provider's VPS. Only Windows Server is allowed by Microsoft. There are exceptions but it really applies only to large scale (150+) instances per client.

As I know, windows vps is more expensive than linux. Your budget is a bit low and you'd better add some extra dollars to your budget in order to get a good, professional windows vps hosting services. Besides, I would recommend you to choose SSD based storage vps hosting account. Managed servers cost much more money than unmanaged one, but if you are not an experienced webmaster, managed vps would work fine... but again it costs more $

Actually some providers such as Vultr are using KVM as the virtualization tech and allows you to upload your own ISO and use remote control such as noVNC to install the OS for your own. So basically if you use Vultr you can get an Windows instance for as low as $5/Mo (1 vCore/768MB Mem). Some other providers may offer some even cheaper KVM solutions that can install Windows by yourselves. Well... That requires a Windows License. If you don't know how to install Windows or don't have a Windows License Key, you may need to order those originally with the key but $13 may be not enough. The only provider I know which offers Windows instance with license below $13/Mo is Alicloud ($12/Mo, 1 vCore + 1GB RAM). Last edited by fsgmhoward; 08-20-2016 at 01:13 PM.
