Hiding the Shoutcast Web Interface

Posted by Matt Sims, 06-20-2006, 11:56 AM
Does anyone know if it's possible to hide the Shoutcast Web Interface? I run SSRadioUK.com and would prefer people not to be able to see the station details by visiting: stream.ssradiouk.com:9024 Is it possible to block this page somehow? I assume Shoutcast must have a built in web-server that runs on the chosen port, but I can't find any options in the config to disable it. TIA, Matt.

Is this just the standard shoutcast?

Just looking around, I found a similar post on the Winamp forums. I thought maybe you should check it out there as there are alot of points and suggestions, but overall, I don't think it's possible to block out the DNAS. You can't block the port because then you block the stream also. - http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1939421

Yes, it's the standard Shoutcast server software running under Windows 2003 Server on a dedicated machine. The machine is also running Apache on port 80. Shoutcast is currently running on port 9024.

Thanks for the reply, I have established that this isn't possible.
