Hiding the Shoutcast Web Interface
Posted by Matt Sims, 06-20-2006, 11:56 AM |
Does anyone know if it's possible to hide the Shoutcast Web Interface?
I run SSRadioUK.com and would prefer people not to be able to see the station details by visiting:
stream.ssradiouk.com:9024
Is it possible to block this page somehow? I assume Shoutcast must have a built in web-server that runs on the chosen port, but I can't find any options in the config to disable it.
TIA,
Matt.

Is this just the standard shoutcast?

Just looking around, I found a similar post on the Winamp forums. I thought maybe you should check it out there as there are alot of points and suggestions, but overall, I don't think it's possible to block out the DNAS. You can't block the port because then you block the stream also.

Yes, it's the standard Shoutcast server software running under Windows 2003 Server on a dedicated machine.
The machine is also running Apache on port 80. Shoutcast is currently running on port 9024.

Thanks for the reply, I have established that this isn't possible.
