Setting up Proxmox to automatically assign IPs with OVH network

Hello,
Does anyone have experience doing this? I am trying to figure out how to automatically assign Virutal Machines IPs based off their MAC address with OVH network.

If you're doing this using a bridged interface you'd more than likely need to create a MAC for each IP you wish to use and change the MAC when you setup the VM. Last time I looked the IP's are MAC locked.
If you're doing this in a routed setup, you should have no problem. Just throw the IP on the VM and ensure your routing is setup correctly.
Are you using any software at present for the automation? or setting the VM's up manually?

No I want to use a DHCP server to automatically assign IPs. https://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.p...auto-assign-IP
With this method I would also not have to setup macs for each IP in the OVH panel.

Doesn't matter. The last time I looked their routers specifically send traffic for IP's to a configured MAC address, whether that is the main server MAC or a MAC you added to their gui. This means if you simply add a VM to the bridged interface setup by default, its not going to work unless you add that MAC to the IP on their gui.
You could use DHCP on a second bridge interface on your server so you can assign the IP's and default route, but the traffic would need to be routed to OVH not bridged. How much do you trust the VM's?

Not very trusted. I did pay someone to do this once for me before and they used DHCP + ProxyARP with Shorewall as the firewall.
