If you have access to php.ini file, comment this extension="eaccelerator.so"

To remove it you just have to remove the .so and remove it the line(s) from the php.ini

I have removed the .so, but there are no lines in the php.ini file for eaccelerator.so. I have restarted apache and then issue php -v and am still getting : Failed loading /usr/lib/php4/eaccelerator.so: /usr/lib/php4/eaccelerator.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory How can I get this to go away?

Sorry....just got it. Had to remove the /etc/php.d/eaccelerator.ini file. Thanks!
