installing software remotely?

I have just ordered an unmanaged dedicated server with KVM IP. now what I want to know is, how can I install software from my computer to the dedicated server on the other end? Would I have to upload the ISO to that server then install it from there or can I install it directly from my computer to that computer? Thanks

Would have to upload the ISO to the server, KVM only give you access via keyboard mouse and screen. Does now allow you to use your harddrive as a access area.
