Best Site To Receive Updates On How To Prevent The Latest Hacks

Hey, Can someone suggest a website/s that you can maybe subscribe to it's emails that will notify you on hacks that are out, and how to prevent them? I'm already aware of the ways you can secure your server first hand, but I'm talking about notifications that will keep you updated on the newest release of hacks out and etc. Thanks This should be beneficial to many host here.

Agree, a one stop would be nice, but most of these services are paid; i.e. http://corporate.secunia.com/ can do this for you. We just keep our selves subscribed to different feeds where we filter on some packages, a handy tool could be www.feedrinse.com to create your own feeds from multiple sources. (duplicate suppression is an issue here though). I am open for other suggestions. But this works for us so far.

Are you talking about something like virus base for antivirus?

I'm not sure what you mean, as when I think of virus, I think of just a computer of mine, but I'm talking about hacks/exploits/injections etc.. anything that can help you be aware of what's out there you know? Such as, I know a keneral issue was out a week or so back that was on here, and hostgator has some of it's servers attacked as well, but showed how to prevent it. I know CPanel as well sends out notifications about things they've found, like yesterday I got an email about Horde. It had an issue where it was a security leak, and CPanel sent an email out to everyone telling them how to fix the issue and a little knowledge of the problem. That's the type of thing I'm looking for, and sure others here would like to know as well.

Thanks, and I don't see why it would as this is helping to "prevent" harmful things from happening, but if it is, I went ahead and copied and pasted those urls

I have an eggdrop with rss.tcl dropping the latest bugtraq , full disclosure, and milw0rm feeds, can pretty much keep up like that. It will usually hit full disclosure first but its unmoderated so a lot of crap on there. Bugtraq is where verified exploits will turn up first usually
