I also seem to be having a problem with clamd, that restarting doesn't seem to solve. I get masses of email saying, clamd failed. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I did a force cpanel update, but still the same problems.

Whats the error you are getting while restarting clamd?

Sorry for the delay. I don't actually get an error when restarting clamd. Everything "appears" to go through smoothly, but then when I click on "Service Status" in the Web Host Manager, I see clamd flashing [failed] and I get emails every 5 minutes with the subject "clamd on host .......failed"

Try uninstall/install clamavconnector from Main >> cPanel >> Manage Plugins >>

Still failed unfortunately. I guess I may just have to remove clamd, not happy about that though.

You can use the following steps to install clamd in the server manually. cd /usr/src wget http://freshmeat.net/redir/clamav/29...av-0.91.tar.gz untar cd to clamav directory ./configure, make , make install Now remove the line Example from /usr/local/etc/freshclam.conf and /usr/local/etc/clamd.conf. Run the command freshclam to update it. I hope this helps.

Thanks, I am going to try this. I had disabled clamd temporarily till I found a solution.
