Looking for Offshore DDOS Protected Dedicated Serer
Posted by Ostein, 10-18-2016, 02:28 PM |
Hello all, I am currently looking for a off shore ddos protected dedicated server protecting against Layer 3, 4, and 7 attacks or if possible mainly layer 4 as I can use a reverse proxy for layer 7.
I am currently with Webcare360 using one of their Anti-DDOS servers - 320 Gbps / 500 Mpps server for $450. It use to be good then they switched networks and now the ddos protection doesn't work what so ever. I'm having so much downtime and they have yet to fix it after 5-6 days and told me to wait yet nothing has happened.
I am getting a layer 4 attack, not sure how big but I need some good reliable servers out there. I have a budget of $600/MO if need to be but I'd rather stay around at $450/Month
Please give me suggestions!
Also don't suggest cloudflare as a reverse proxy, people just use bypass scripts for those and still take you offline. I also don't want some voxility reseller.

hyperfilter.com has servers in The Netherlands, has excellent support and solved all my DDoS problems.

What can they handle? I'm getting hit with around 40Gbps - 60Gbps

That's not a big attack and there are a lot of hosting providers that can answer your needs for the budget you mentioned. Make sure you research a lot before going with a certain provider.
Look for reviews online and ask the provider on their policy in cases of downtime or if the protection can't stop the attacks you experience (not all DDoS protection solutions are created equal).
Good luck!

Contact JavaPipe in Romania. That size of attack is not an issue and they know what they are doing.

They look promising, but they are in the USA. Looking for a server that's offshore, and the company is not located in the USA. Should have mentioned that earlier

Did you try their Business Package?

Yes their business package which was $200/Month. There are tons of bypass scripts that people can use to get pass the protection. They have yet to fix it in the last few years, the script cost little as $10 on Hackforums amd it's in 99% of booters they sell there.

I've seen people using HyperFilter with this sort of attack level before and no issues, and sproll can surely second this as well.
Btw, if I recall correctly webcare360 used to had servers in HyperFilter in past, but nowadays they don't have it there anymore.

What do you think about separating: dedicated server and DDoS protection? This way might appear as more expensive one but in this case you will have some kind of freedom: you can have that level of the protection you need and you can have dedicated server (as well as change it) from any provider.
But that would be a bit more expensive solution.

have you tried to check the ddos guard offers?

Could you elaborate on this?

He can't elaborate it better than he already did, basically he doesn't wants anyone behind voxility network or voxility itself.

Whats the capacity of them ? Up to 500Gbps ?

There's actually a reason I requested more information.
It looks as if webcare360 was offering all plans with Voxility remote protection up until about 2014 (maybe later), and while they still have dedicated servers on their site that offer protection via Romania through Voxility, it looks like they brought Incapsula on board for at least some of their other packages.
And reading this:
I'm thinking OP may have been fine with Voxility remote protection, and when they swapped up their packages they also traded up on the mitigation provider.

I have the best experience with http://knownsrv.com when it comes to Europe servers and DDoS protection. Highly recommended!

The day you find out these numbers are fictional, you will be surprised... heh. Having a network with 500 Gbps throughput isn't hard, in fact many are above this, but performing 500 Gbps of mitigation to a "single destination IP" is a different story. And, believe or not, we've dealt with attacks around 150~160 Gbps and most of these 500, 700, 1000 Gbps offers, didn't really "work". In fact, these customers ended up closing business because the providers that really had such capacity, eg Akamai, wanted much more money... :/
So yes, the internet is full of "1 Tbps" protection offers, but try to use it to its extent and you'll see what happens.
