Godaddy - Opencart admin issue
Posted by mjfroggy, 10-12-2012, 05:41 PM |
I have a Opencart site working fine on a hosting account not with godaddy. I then have to move the site sadly to the clients godaddy hosting account. I updated both the config files in the public root dir as well as in the admin dir and everything works fine except when needing to login to the admin
I go to the admin url and the page loads I then type in my admin login details click the submit button and the page goes white/blank and nothing happens??
I confirmed that all the folders have the correct permissions and that the file paths/urls in the config.php files are correct
Also when going to the admin url in chrome I get a error saying
Invalid token session. Please login again.
but that is specific to using Chrome not happening when going to the site in IE etc
Any suggestions?

It's possible that your browser currently holds cookies/session from the previous GoDaddy account. A cookie or session that obviously doesn't exist on the new one.
If you try a new browser or clear you cookies/sessions/cache on the current one, it should work.

Hi,
There are two config files one in the root directory and the other one in the /admin directory. Did you edit both the files ?
Also you can try to enable error reporting by adding this to the /admin/index.php

Thanks well after speaking to a Godaddy rep and them insisting I need to "upgrade" to their cloud hosting from their "Deluxe shared" hosting plan. I now go to my /admin/ folder enter my login details and nothing happens at all no error message no blank page nothing
So I am at a total lose with how to fix this issue which I seem to just be spinning my wheels with
Anyone know what would cause the admin page to just reload upon clicking submit button with no error message or anything?

I can take a look at this if you PM me the domain name.
