software to check email and send to cell phone?

| My main goal as a reseller is customer satisfaction. One way I want to achieve this is by responding to emails asap.
Does anyone know of software that will check a pop3 account and if I receive new email it will call my cell phone?

| My cell phone providers gives us a special emailaddress that you can email, and it will send a SMS message to my cellphone. Maybe your provider has the same thing?
You could consider buying a GSM modem for your computer/server (or just connect a standard phone like a Nokia 6210 or similar). These can send SMS messages directly to the cellphone, and it happens instantly.
If that is not the possibility, but you have a standard modem and a phoneline -- then you can get special software from your provider that will enable you to call their SMSC server and send SMSs directly from there.

| Many service providers allow you to receive text messages at an address related to your number. Usually something like this: 5551212@provider.com. Check their website and I'll bet you'll find something.
With that, setup an Email alias that sends your support messages to your regular support box and your cell#:
support: support, 5551212@provider.com

It won't call a cell-phone directly, but you it can send an email or launch an application.
