Hello, I have always wondered how can online servers can have multiple dedicated external ips assigned to them. Let's say I have a windows machine at home, which software and type of NIC cards would I need to have 10 external IPs with different class? Thank you,

No need any specific software to connect IP address with the windows OS. Your ISP provider should assign IP address from them end. After that you can add IP address as follows, Below mention link will be helpful for you. https://www.godaddy.com/help/adding-...aditional-1478

I'm curious why you would need external IPs with different class?

Hello, The reason I am asking is because I see people selling dedicated ips FOR 1.50 usd using different classes. So my question was, how can someone setup a server so it has multiple ips with different classes, what is the trick? Just out of curiosity. Thanks

You can do it from your network, as long as all the IPs are in the same VLAN, there should not be any problem for you to have multiple IPs in different class in your server.

Hi, The IP routing is the trick and you don't have to do much but to ask your DC or server provider to do so. All you have to do from your side is configure those IPs on your machine, may be Linux or Windows. Adding multiple IPs to a single interface can be done..

Hi, If you have services which expect to communicate with your server over a specific IP, you should use CMD to set your extra IPs. "Netsh Int IPv4 Add Address SkipAsSource=True" This will ensure your server doesn't change the IP it uses for outbound connectivity.
