Changing MX record and effect on addon domains
I'm looking at using the hotmail service with my own domain, to do so I have to change the MX record, when I looked at the DNS entry in whm I noticed that the only MX record was for the main domain and there were no for all the addon domains.
I would assume that if I changed the record for the main domain the mail would stop working for all the addon domains, is this correct?

addon domains will have their own DNS records... or are you referring to sub-domains?

No I was referring to addon domains. I was in the wrong screen, I figured it out. I was staring at the DNS entry for the main domain instead of look at the MX record for the domain.

you can contact your hosting to change it for you as the MX modification ion cpanel is for the MAIN domain name
