Typical page download times
I've checked the average page download time that the Googlebot reports in Google Webmaster Tools and, from what I've seen elsewhere, I think the number is good -- less than 200 milliseconds. However, my pages are compressed and small (>1.5K). This gives me a download time of ~7500 bytes/sec for the Googlebot.
My question is what kind of page download speeds do others get with Googlebot? What's typical/good/bad?

afaik anything over 30 seconds is bad for spiders.

I should have specified *average* Googlebot download times (divided by average bytes per page). I'm interested (and I think other members might be interested) since its a comparable metric that anyone with a Google Webmasters Tools account has access to.
I'm also less interested in it from and SEO point of view, but rather as a way of gauging the performance of one's server/webhost. Alone, the information is useful in detecting changes in performance over time. However, without comparing with others, you can't get a sense how good or bad your performance is overall.
Also, I suspect it's not useful to compare it with other download measures. The Googlebot download time is influenced by HTTP overhead and distance from Google crawl servers (as well as other things).
