How to enable Wired Ethernet Port
Greetings all;
I am having a problem with my Dell Precision 650 Workstation. I had to re-install Windows XP Professional because there were files that were currupt or missing. After installing Windows XP Professional I was unable to connect to the internet. My Ethernet port is not working. When I used to connect to the internet before re-installing Windows XP Professional, there was a blinking green color on the ethernet port. Now, theirs a orange color that does not blink. I am able to connect to the internet with my other computer laptop but not the desktop. I was trying to connect using my router and when I was installing the router program it said it did not detect a wired ethernet port. I then went to "Device Manager" and seen the ethernet port was yellow with a questionmark and I right clicked it and deleted it by mistake. How can I fix this. Can someone plz help me. thank you.

try installing the drivers that comes on the "dell" disc.
Maybe if you do not have this disc, try dells website and download the ISO off their support area.

I will see what I can do but how would I go about getting the Ethernet Port recognized in Device Manager and enabling it?

Oh and lets not forget. I am unable to get onto the internet on that computer but I will use a flash drive and just try downloading the drivers onto it. It didn't need the drivers before when the Microsoft Windows XP Professional OS was installed. Why does it need it now?
New Question: What does it mean when the blue screen appears with all of the numbers then automatically restarts the computer

Regarding blue screen error:
Either post those numbers up here.
or google them.
Either way we can give you some answers.

Hello, I was successfully able to connect to the internet. I just visited the Dell website as you instructed and downloaded a and ran the drivers for the network port and everything worked out fine. When the blue screen appears again I will try to get the numbers down but it pops up then the computer quickly restarts. I have another question for you...
When I start my computer I am always prompted to press "F1" to continue. It said that the primary drive 0 isnt't found or something like that. I have three (3) SCSI 36 GB Hard Drives installed. I never can restart my computer and it just boots right up to windows. Its always asking me to prss F1 to continue. What do I do to fix this? I tried playing around in the BIOs but nothing seemed to workout.
