NetDepot Launches Remote Drive / Backup Raid Array 30 cents per gig. This is a new service which is available immediately - it is RAID 6 SATA based and is available on the backend Netdepot network. Users are able to define a remote drive on the unit and are able to use it for traditional backups via ftp / rsync / scp as well. It supports ISCSI and jumbo frames and will give users a high performance option for disk space as well it does away with transfer on traditional backups since it is located on the secondary network. The RAID setup enhances the performance and data security of the current offering. We are excited about this offering and our users have been asking for it for quite a while. We like to test and make sure we roll out the best offering and sometimes that puts us behind the times but this certainly moves us to the front. It is available immediately in 100 gig and larger blocks.
