Hot Topic! - Buying Hardware

Ok! Today I was informed that a client of ours, needs a server for his website.
imp: There is only one website
and he limited our budget to $5000!!!! which is a good budget to buy a server.
considering the fact that he wants his ecommerce web site running, which consumes a great load of ram and cpu processes related to DB,
and also our limited amount of time to buy the server(less than 24 hours time)
we would buy a ready made hardware from dell, HP or any good provider.
BTW, OS is redhat.
what would you suggest?

If you in that much of a time crunch, getting a dell poweredge server is probably your best bet.

RedHat will you purchase RHEL license?
I suggest better use Fedora-11, may be your client is already using some custom application and some time it requires latest applications like php 5.2 and etc.

For OS it would be better to go for centos 5.3. It is the mostly used one as server platform nowadays.
