Howto add users to pro-ftpd

How do I go about adding users to pro-ftpd? like username: bob password: bob directory /home/bob how would I go about doing that? And also making sure they have only ftp access and no ssh access what so ever. Thanks in advance guys.

You can add a user with the shell nologin

the -s means no shell right?

userdel username You can use userdel -r username if you also want to remove the home directory of the specified user.

hmm still having problems with this, pro-ftpd still says login incorrect (to set there password I need to type passwd (there username)) after running the command right? Do I need to make a group of ftp users or?
