There no special configuration needed. But before installation you need to run perl csftest.pl script. That will tell you which all kernel module need to be enable in node.

You will get a web interface in the WHM after installing the csf. You can customize CSF from there.

no special configuration needed, CSF works out of the box on CPanel VPS

Hi, When u install CSF then do following configuration for that Once CSF/LFD gets installed, edit the configuration file of CSF: cd /etc/csf vi csf.conf And make CSF active by editing the file and putting a '0' in line: TESTING = "1" Save the file and exit the file. The main part: Remove APF/BSD off the server by executing the command from: /etc/csf sh /etc/csf/remove_apf_bfd.sh Once done, restart CSF firewall to activiate it. Once these are done then follow the file: Firewall Check using WHM.

There is one configuration that you have to do if you are using pure-ftpd. You need to change the range of ips for vps running pure-ftpd

As csf is not included in cPanel its third party software you need to configure it manually.

Yeah, it is not included by default but once you have installed CSF you can configure it using WHM UI

if its a openVZ based VPS then all required iptables modules must be installed in your host node to fully functional csf.

If it's OpenVZ make sure you enable the Monolithic kernel option. On Xen/KVM you should be ok with defaults.

Right, the iptable modules need to be loaded in the kernel on the host server. If you have access to the host, load the iptable modules and enable them for a VPS. If you don't have access to the host, make sure your hosting company do them for you.
