Complaint - Thrillhost & Midphase - Need suggestions.

My current reseller provider (Thrillhost ) has been going down on me. They were bought by Midphase a few weeks ago. I tried to contact them about my problems, but they seem to not care. I didn't want to post this but I think this will be an example for those of you that were thinking to sign up with them. Where to start... When I signed up with Thrillhost, I signed up for a Reseller account with the following features: - 3500 MB Space - 35000 Bandwidth Allowance - Unlimited add-on/parked domains - Unlimited emails/ftp accounts. - Unlimited mySQL databases and the rest of the goodies for $15/month. I was referred by a well known member / moderator of WHT and I was really surprised with the features. Anyways, before I signed up, I asked if my price was going to be the same through out the year. Well they confirmed the price so I signed up. Thrillhost was great for my first 4 months. They were fast, up %99 of the time and quick at responding to support tickets. Fast forward to last week. I bought the domain name http://www.filehost.org to serve as a picture host to some friends / coworkers/ etc. Although I signed up as a reseller, I only had one domain up at my account, which was http://www.xiety.com So last week, as a newbie, I was trying to figure out, how to share my web space / bandwidth allowance between xiety.com & filehost.org. Well I couldn't figure it out, so I tried to submit a support ticket. Thrillhost's support desk was down, so I decided to wait a couple days. Next day, I received an email from Midphase, explaning the buy out situation. So I went to Midphase website to submit a support ticket through them. I asked what I needed to do. I was told that I needed to buy addon domain pointers I may be a newbie at hosting and everything, but being asked for additional $$$ although my reseller account had unlimited addon domains feature kinda confused me. So I emailed them back, explaining that my account should have unlimited addon domains. The next email I received was as follows: Well, as a newbie I was still confused, so I posted what I should do in WHT and a Thrillhost / Midphase employee replied to my post saying that he would help me if I emailed him my account name / domain / etc. So I emailed him and although it's been more than 2 days, no replies Even worse is, I received an email from this guy about Midphase, and when I asked why no email, he said "Sorry just a mistake" and still didn't reply back to me about my problem. Most frusturating thing is, Thrillhost used to be excellent in customer service. They would reply to support tickets with extremely detailed explanations, thus would make it very easy for you to solve your problems. One more thing is, although I signed up for 3500 MB space, my WHM shows only 2500 MBs? :confused; Also, I wanted to update my earlier thread about this situation but unfortunately it's locked. I guess the mods thought the situation was resolved What are your suggestions? Am I the only one having problems with Thrillhost & Midphase? Thanks in advance for reading & responding. X.

I have seen some other threads regarding the acquisition of Thrill Host, do a search on WHT and you are bound to find something.

X., We have not changed anything regarding ThrillHost.com's service to previous customers. In fact, we've locked everyones packages. We have not touched the ThrillHost servers yet, and any downtime that they have experienced would have happened regardless. We did, however, upgrade one of them (legend, I think) with another half-gig of RAM Last edited by mdrussell; 02-10-2004 at 06:08 PM.

Didn't know Dan was replying.. You can call in, or send in an email to a technician as Dan suggested. Zak

Thanks for responding so quick guys. I sent an email to Dan, hopefully will get an answer to my questions quickly. I hope Thrillhost/Midphase will prove me wrong and show me how good are as they used to be. Mods, please do not lock this thread because I want to update my original post with review of my customer service experience.
