There is no point in creating the domain under 2 Ip's in the same server , as if the server is down, it does not do any good to you. You have to host your domain in two servers to achieve the advantage you are looking at .
If you still want to do it
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/examples.html
that should help you and make your changes in the dns as well

You will have to create 2 VirtualHost entries for the same domain using the 2 different IPs in the Apache configuration file (httpd.conf). Also make sure you have 2 A records for the domain in the DNS zone file of the domain under /var/named/ directory.
But as said by "activelobby4u", they are of no use when both the IPs are on the same server. Once the server is down, everything is down.

He doesn't have to create two virtual hosts , he can do it this way
=======
NameVirtualHost 192.168.1.1
NameVirtualHost 172.20.30.40
DocumentRoot /www/server1
ServerName server.example.com
ServerAlias server

If the two IPs have different uplinks it would make sense to use both of them on the same server, in case there's a network issue with either one of them. Still, you would have to edit the DNS zone so you wont lose 50% of your traffic from roundrobin DNS (if any)
